KanCare is the Medicaid managed care program for the State of Kansas.

Managed care lets you have one main doctor to take care of your medical needs. There are three managed care programs for your physical health.

When you have other health insurance, you must use this insurance first before Medicaid. You must follow the rules of your other insurance. For example, you must go to the doctors in your insurance network. Sometimes your insurance company may pay you for medical services you get. If Medicaid has paid for the same services, you must pay Medicaid back. Call KMAP Customer Service to get information on how you must pay Medicaid back.

Insurance Premium Payment Assistance
The State of Kansas Health Insurance Premium Payment System (HIPPS) may be able to pay health insurance premiums for you and/or your family. If you or any of your household members has an employer-based health plan available to them, please fill out the Member Insurance Premium Payment Assistance form and follow the directions to submit.

TPL Insurance Information Update
To report changes regarding your insurance coverage, including new coverage, additional members, end-dated coverage, or any other changes, please fill out the Member TPL Insurance Information Update form and follow the directions to submit.
